The Boat

Our recreational fishing and leisure vessel, Shockwave, is custom-designed integrating the latest technology and processes to produce a quality Australian-built 10.1 metre fibreglass catamaran.

Manufactured in Western Australia by Shockwave Marine, our boat has been specially designed for deep sea fishing, exploring, and soaking in Tasmania’s unique and breathtaking coastal waters.

Built in 2022, our full 2C survey vessel is powered by twin 300 Yamaha outboards and has a fuel capacity of 800 litres, with a range of 350 nautical miles. This ensures that Shockwave can take you, your family and friends to some of the best and more remote locations that Tasmania has to offer.

From the mountainous Maria Island located off Tasmania’s east coast, to Pedra Branca off the southern coast, Shockwave will engage and delight with opportunities to fish in remote locations and soak in the pristine waters and landscapes that Tasmania has to offer.

Shockwave has been thoughtfully designed with an enclosed cab furnished with unique Tasmanian blackwood timbers, a marine toilet, and indoor heating to take you wherever you wish to experience in comfort and style.

Seaworthiness and safety are paramount for the Shockwave crew, which is why the vessel is fitted out with a full suite of safety equipment and the latest electronics from Raymarine. This includes a 3KW sounder, 1KW Chirp, radar and FLIR Nightvision. This means that Shockwave can take you and your crew out to find the fish, including the prized Tasmanian Bluefin, in the knowledge that you are in safe and expert hands.
